Manufacturing
Manufacturing and quality
How material is produced on our own line, which controls apply at each stage, and how documentation is handled. This page describes practice: no accreditation is claimed anywhere on this site.

Production model
Avion Science is a manufacturer, not a reseller. Synthesis, purification, fill and finish are performed on our own line, so a batch has one chain of custody from first coupling to sealed pen.
In-house manufacture
Synthesis, fill and finish performed on our own line, not contracted out.
Batch identity
Every production batch carries an identifier linking physical material to its record.
Single-use presentation
One compound, one sealed research pen, in rigid protective packaging.
Source-linked research
Literature and trial records retrieved live from PubMed and ClinicalTrials.gov.
The five manufacturing stages
Every batch we produce passes through the same sequence, in the same order.
Stage 1
Specification
Each compound is defined in a written specification covering sequence identity, presentation and the analytical panel applied before a record is released.
Stage 2
Synthesis
Peptide material is assembled to that specification under documented in-process controls on our own line.
Stage 3
Purification
Crude material is purified and isolated, with method and yield recorded against the batch.
Stage 4
Fill and finish
Material is filled into single-use research pens and sealed into rigid protective packaging.
Stage 5
Batch documentation
Each batch is assigned an identifier and its record is retained. Analytical documentation is published as received, without interpretation.
Analytical assessment
The panel referenced when a batch is assessed, and what each method is used to establish. Results for a specific batch appear on the documentation for that batch, never as a general claim.
| Method | Assesses |
|---|---|
| HPLC / UPLC | Chromatographic purity and related substances. |
| Mass spectrometry (MS) | Identity confirmation by molecular mass. |
| Amino acid analysis (AAA) | Net peptide content. |
| Elemental analysis (CHN) | Alternative net-content determination. |
| Karl Fischer / loss on drying | Water content. |
| Ion chromatography | Counter-ion determination. |
| Endotoxin (LAL) | Bacterial endotoxin screening where specified. |
Batch documentation package
What accompanies a completed batch record, and what each item covers.
Certificate of analysis
Results for the specific batch analysed.
Analytical data sheet
Method, instrument and release specification.
Batch identifier record
Ties documentation to a physical batch.
Storage and handling sheet
Laboratory handling information only.
TSE / BSE statement
On request, where applicable to inputs.
Current documentation status
A plain count of what is published today, so the state of the record is never inferred from design.
